EFFEX TRIBULUS tablets 250mg Evalar No. 60
Indications for use of Effex Tribulus are:
As part of complex therapy for erectile dysfunction, incl. accompanied by a decrease in libido; infertility in men caused by idiopathic oligoasthenoteratozoospermia, surgical intervention for varicocele, immunological infertility; dyslipidemia to lower total cholesterol levels.
Pharmachologic effect:
The herbal product obtained from the aerial part of the creeping tribulus (Tribulus terrestris L.) contains mainly steroidal saponins of the furostanol type. It has a general tonic effect and stimulates some functions of the reproductive system. In men, it restores and improves libido, lengthens the erection time. Stimulates spermatogenesis by increasing sperm count and motility.
The predominant compound (protodioscin) is thought to be metabolized in the body to dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which has beneficial effects on immunity, cell membrane integrity, erectile function, and cholesterol metabolism. It is known that cholesterol is a precursor for the synthesis of all steroids, including DHEA, testosterone and estradiol, which explains the hypolipidemic effect of the drug. The other active furostanol saponins in the extract are likely to modulate the effect of protodioscin.
It has a hypolipidemic effect, and in patients with lipoproteinemia it reduces total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, does not affect the values of serum triglycerides and HDL.
