Inside, during meals, for the treatment of hyperprolactinemia 1-2 times a week, the dose is determined by measuring the level of prolactin in the blood (regularly once a month). The maximum dose is 4.5 mg per week. To prevent postpartum lactation, it is recommended to take 1 mg once, on the first day after childbirth, to interrupt the established lactation, 0.25 mg every 12 hours for 2 days.

Hypersensitivity (including to derivatives of ergot alkaloids), uncontrolled arterial hypertension. Restrictions on use: arterial hypertension associated with pregnancy (eclampsia, preeclampsia), concomitant use of dopamine D2 receptor antagonists, antihypertensive drugs, liver dysfunction, childhood, pregnancy and lactation.

Headache, dizziness, vertigo, paresthesia, drowsiness, depression, nervousness, asthenia, fatigue, blurred vision; orthostatic hypotension; dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain; hot flashes, pain in the mammary glands, dysmenorrhea.

It should not be used concomitantly with dopamine D2 receptor antagonists (phenothiazine, butyrophenone, thioxanthene, metoclopramide derivatives). Simultaneous administration with drugs that have a high degree of binding to plasma proteins is unlikely to affect the connection of cabergoline with plasma proteins. It should be used with caution in conjunction with drugs that have a hypotensive effect.

Symptoms: nasal congestion, fainting, hallucinations. Treatment: symptomatic, blood pressure maintenance.
